It's Easy to be Critical, but What About all the Sucesses?
I find it "interesting" that the right-wing of the Republican Party continues to engage in the tactic of character assasination of president Biden without giving his administration any credit for all of the good things that have been happening in the midst of a maelstrom of international and domestic issues. Despite my feelings about president Trump, I have always been careful about giving him credit for the things he did well, like operation warp speed with the development of the COVID vaccination.

I think the Dems are doing just fine. In the first year of his presidency, the country gained 7 million jobs, more than 400,000 per month for 11 consecutive months, the longest such streak since 1939.
This administration passed a $1.2 trillion infrastructure package which drastically increased investment in the national network of bridges and roads, airports, public transport, national broadband internet, as well as waterways and energy systems.
In the first year under the Biden administration, the US put itself in a position where we are looking at COVID in past tense - or at least on the down slope. Under this administration, well over 200 million Americans have received the full dose of the vaccine in the first year. And that number has continued to rise in the meantime.
Under the Biden administration, over 40 new Federal judges were appointed in the first year of his term (doubling president Trump).
We are once again seen as a strong partner to our allies (something that fell completely apart under the previous administration). We have rejoined the Paris Accord and finally made some real commitment to making some headway against global climate change. Among our 12 key trading partners and allies, 62% of their populations now hold a positive view of the US, vs 34% at the end of the Trump presidency. The NATO alliance is now in lockstep over Russia's aggression into the Ukraine.
Biden's first budget proposes a significant reduction in the deficit - something that never happened during the Trump administration.
We still face myriad problems due to COVID and the global inflation that predictably followed the COVID crisis.
Although inflation is up, largely due to global economic issues, so are wages. And corporate profits and stock prices have reached new highs. In the interim, the measures by the FED to achieve a soft-landing appear to be having the desired affect.
Over half a million people who previously were without healthcare insurance now have insurance.
Fewer people are on food stamps.
In general, the economy has rebounded very well under, Biden -- faster than it has in decades. Our GDP growth in 2021 will have been the strongest growth (by far) since the great recession in 2008.
Apprehensions of illegals at the border actually went UP during Biden's first yesr and the number of admitted refugees went down, vs the Trump administration. That said, this remains a problem area, as it was under Trump.
Considering we are coming out of the largest pandemic since 1918 - that's not bad. He's working with a damaged deck of cards. Some of it due to the previous administration and some of it due to global socio-economic circumstances.
